Annie and JD met in college while attending UC Santa Barbara After graduating they did a lot of traveling and happened to land in beautiful Maui, Hawaii where they lived for 2 years. After leaving the Hawaiian Islands in 2001, they moved to Newport Beach where Annie grew up. After five years of dating, J.D. proposed last May and they decided that they wanted a beach type wedding which would remind them of Maui. They found Hornblower cruises through a friend of theirs who also grew up in Newport Beach.
They write:
"After deciding to have the reception on the boat 'The Wild Goose,' planning our wedding was easy. Our coordinator Leah Quinlan made us feel so comfortable and we knew that we were in good hands. She even suggested that we hire their steel drum band duo to give us that 'island vibe' which we absolutely loved. Now we were able to have the wedding that we dreamed of with the sunset in the background just as if we were in Maui again.
We also used the flower vender that Hornblower suggested which has been the best choice for flowers. Everyone that we have worked with is amazing. We would suggest Hornblower Cruises and Events to anyone. Their professional staff and boats are all first class. We are so happy with everything that they have done.
Thank you to Leah and the rest of the Hornblower staff.
Aloha,
Annie and J.D."
